The Human Resource Development Department, Govt of Sikkim is going to conduct the Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test for appointing eligible candidates as the Primary teachers for Classes I to V and for Graduate Teacher Classes VI to VIII. Educational Qualification:

For Becoming a Primary Teacher for Class I to V:

Candidates must have  Senior Secondary  with at least 50% marks for unreserved candidates and 45% marks for the reserved candidates and passed or appearing in final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education ( D. El. Ed).or passed or appearing in final year of 4 years Bachelors of Elementary  Education (B. El. Ed)

For Becoming the Graduate Teacher for Class VI to VIII (Elementary Stage):

Candidates must have B.A./B.Sc./B. Com.with 50% marks for unreserved candidates and 45 % marks for reserved category and passed or appearing in the final year  of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.) or passed in or appearing in the final year of 1 year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed.)

Application Cost:
Sikkim TET Exam fee of Rs.225/- in favor of Joint Director/Exam, HRDD.

Examination Pattern and Syllabus For STET 2019:-

Multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam of STET 2019 and there will be no negative marking and 150 questions will be asked in each paper and each paper should get completed in 2: 30 hours.

Paper I (for the Primary teacher for classes I to V)

1. Child development and pedagogy- 30MCQs- 30 Marks
2. The language I- 30MCQs- 30 Marks                                                       
3. Language II- 30MCQs- 30 Marks                                                         
4. Mathematics- 30MCQs- 30 Marks                                                 
5. Environmental Studies- 30MCQs- 30 Marks                          

Paper II (for the Upper Primary teacher for classes VI to VIII)

1. Child development and pedagogy: 30MCQs- 30 Marks

Admit Card for Sikkim TET 2019:-
