OU- Osmania University CET Exam Pattern 2020

Osmania University Common Entrance Test will be based on the objective type of questions and the paper is for the total of 100 marks and paper consist of 100 objective questions. For candidates who want to seek admissions in M.Sc Biotechnology, M.Sc Genetics, M.Sc Microbiology, M.Sc. Biochemistry, M.Sc Environmental Science, M.Sc Forensic Science, and Nutrition & Dietetic, the question paper will be dividing into 2 parts, 1st selection is for 40 marks and another part is for 40 marks. 1st part question based on chemistry and paper 2 will be based on optional subjects. The paper is for a total of 90 min in duration.

The entrance exam paper consists of MCQ Pattern conducted for the 100 marks. The candidates preparing for the M.P.Ed will get the paper for 75marks and remaining 25 marks will be awarded for the Physical Test conducted by the OU.

The exam will be conducted for 90 Mins.

The exam paper will be of 3 to 4 varieties of objective type pattern as below-

  • Analogies
  • Classification
  • Matching
  • Comprehension of the research study
Exam Pattern for M.Sc Course-

M.Sc Bio-Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biotechnology, Forensic Science, Microbiology & Nutrition & Dietetics etc Exam Syllabus-

  • Part A- Chemistry 40 Marks.
  • Part B- Optional Subjects from B.Sc Course-60 Marks.

Optional Subjects are:

  • Physics
  • Botany
  • Zoology
  • Genetics
  • Microbiology
  • Biochemistry
  • biotechnology.

For 5 Yrs Integrated PG Programmes, the Entrance Test Patterns are as follows:

  1. M.B.A –
  • The paper has two parts – A & B.

Part – A: Section-

  • A (Verbal Ability) containing 1 to 25 and
  • B (General Knowledge) containing 26 to 40.

 Part – B:

  • C (Numerical Data Analysis) containing 41 to 70 and
  • D (Reasoning and Intelligence) containing 71 to 100
  1. M.A. Applied Economics –

The paper has five parts

  • A: (Mathematics) containing 1 to 40,
  • B: (General English) containing 41 to 55,
  • C: (General Knowledge) containing 56 to 70,
  • D: (Current Affairs) containing 71 to 85 and
  • E: (General Economics) containing 86 to 100
  1. M.Sc in Chemistry & Pharmaceutical Chemistry –

The paper has four sections

  • A: Chemistry containing 1 to 34,
  • B: Physics containing 35 to 67,
  • C: Mathematics containing 68 to

Sections A & B are common for both M.P.C & B.P.C students. Section – C Mathematics is for M.P.C students and Section – D Biology is for B.P.C students.
